Chelsea have had such a positive start under the management of Frank Lampard and the new look back room having finished 4th in the Premier League and securing the coveted Champions League spot. Although, Chelsea fans will now be thinking that with the transfer window they’ve had this summer, one of the best on record in our opinion, can they challenge for the title? We believe their defence might limit that today we assess it further.

With one of the best attacking outlets in the league now with signings of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech to go alongside the likes of Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount we believe that Chelsea certainly won’t struggle for goals this season but it’s at the other end of the pitch that we worry.
During the off season, many football fans transferred their usual football accumulators due to the lack of live sport for the online casinos such as the Ocean Breeze Casino review. Due to the quality of casino on show at these casinos as per the reviews, this trend isn’t due to slow down even with the reintroduction of the Premier League last week.
Although they have signed Thiago Silva to bring some experience to that central defence position, who partners him when fit is the question that will be crossing Frank’s mind. Antonio Rudiger who seems to be out of Frank’s plans with him not making his Premier League Squad this season, Kurt Zouma seems to be the number one choice but looks to struggle with fitness once again, Andreas Christensen lacks awareness and seems to be very reckless when played and finally Fikayo Tomori is still young and showing potential but is he ready to step up? Frank will be hoping the experience of Silva will help assist one of these to become good enough to start.
Frank has also signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester City for a record £50million – the most for an English left back. Although Chilwell has bundles of potential, is he the player to come in a secure up their leaky defence? Foxes fans have explained their concerns to Blues fans but with him being so young, we can see him being a success at Chelsea especially with his attacking tendencies.
Finally, and probably the problem that needs sorting the fastest is that over Kepa Arrizabalaga who has quite frankly had a horror show since his transfer to the Premier League last season. He conceded a record of 16 more goals than expected last season, the worst in the Premier League and with him being the most expensive goalie in the world, Frank is slowly losing patience with him – Frank is apparently looking at new keepers already to replace the £70million Spaniard.
