Who is Andreas Christensen?
Andreas Bodtker Christensen is a Danish professional football player who plays as a centre-half for the Premier League club Chelsea and the Denmark national team.
He was born in Lillerod, Allerod Municipality. Andreas began his career with Skjold Birkerod and later signed for Brondby.
The defender spent eight years there, drawing the interest of Europe’s top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
On 7 February 2012, he joined Chelsea on a free transfer, near the end of the Portuguese tactician Andre Villas-Boas’ tenure as the club’s manager.
The star made his professional debut in 2014, playing the full 90 minutes at full-back as Chelsea won 2–1 against Shrewsbury Town in the fourth round of the League Cup.
The next year, Christensen signed for Borussia Monchengladbach on a two-year loan deal from the Blues.
After an impressive debut campaign, he was voted the team’s Player of the Season, ahead of midfielder Granit Xhaka, the team captain.
After the success of Andreas’ first season, Die Fohlen made multiple attempts to move the loan move into a permanent one during the 2016 summer, although it was claimed Chelsea rejected the £14.25 million offer from the German side.
On 12 August 2017, Andreas made his first appearance for the west London giants following his two-year loan stint in Germany.
On 9 January 2018, Christensen penned a new four-and-half-year contract with Chelsea running until 2022, after establishing himself in the senior team.
Prior to the term’s finish, he was awarded Chelsea’s Young Player of the Year award.
What is his international career like?

How good 2020/21 season did Andreas Christensen have?
He has been extremely underrated last term. Andreas enjoyed a new lease of life with the Blues and the leadership of Thomas Tuchel.
Christensen always had his critics, but the centre-half was faultless, and he proved what he is capable of when confidence is implanted in him.
