Who are Liverpool?
Liverpool Football Club, commonly known as Liverpool, is an English professional football club that competes in the Premier League, the highest division of the English football system.
Liverpool, nicknamed ”Reds” established in 1892 and play their home games at Anfield, which has a seating capacity of 53,394. Reds have won 19 League trophies, 7 FA Cups, a record 8 League Cups and 15 FA Community Shields.
Liverpool also won 6 European Cups, 3 UEFA Cups, 4 UEFA Super Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup. Reds’ longest-established rivalry is with fellow Merseyside club Everton, against whom they contest the Merseyside derby.
On 8 October 2015, Jurgen Klopp agreed on a three-year contract to become Liverpool coach, replacing Brendan Rodgers.
Reds reached the finals of the Football League Cup and UEFA Europa League in the German manager’s first campaign, finishing as runner-up in both tournaments.
Liverpool finished second in the 2018–19 campaign with 97 points, losing just one match.
The German tactician took the Merseyside club to successive Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019, with the Reds defeating Tottenham 2–0 to win the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final.
The Merseyside club then went on to win the 2019–20 Premier League, winning their first Premier League trophy in thirty years.

Despite many injuries during the season, Liverpool finished the Premier League in a third-place and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomes, Joel Matip and several other footballers missed most of the season.
Georginio Wijnaldum left Anfield and joined PSG this summer as a free agent. The Reds already signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer. Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen the squad during this summer transfer window.
