Chelsea transfer flop will spend this season at Reading
Championship club Reading have snapped up Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater on a one-year loan deal.
The 31-year-old joined the west London giants from league rivals Leicester City back in 2017 but has only featured in 23 matches for the Premier League club.
He has had loan stints at Burnley, Aston Villa and Turkish outfit Kasimpasa since his last first-team outing for the Blues in the summer of 2018.
He becomes the second Chelsea player to sign for the Royals on loan this summer, following left-back Baba Rahman‘s transfer to the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Chelsea poised to complete deadline day signing of Saul Niguez
Chelsea are still interested in signing Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez on a loan deal on deadline day, according to a report from The Athletic.
The situation around the Spaniard went silent over the last few days after it was reported last week that Chelsea were keen on signing him on loan from Atletico Madrid.
It emerged earlier today that the transfer was unlikely to happen and Niguez is now expected to stay at Los Rojiblancos beyond the end of the window.
But it has been stated that Chelsea’s interest in the player is far from over and a transfer is still on the cards in the final hours of the transfer market.
Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder could move to Burnley
Burnley are considering a late loan swoop for Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley, but the lack of time and star’s wages could complicate the deal, according to the Daily Express.
The Clarets have already purchased Conor Roberts from Swansea City today, but are interested in bolstering their squad further before the end of the transfer market.
Burnley are in the observation post for a creative midfielder and have already missed out on the landing of Ryan Christie from Celtic, with the star opting for Bournemouth.
It then emerged that the Turf Moor side are looking into a loan deal for a PL star and Ross appears to be that player.
La Liga club want full buy-out fee for Chelsea defensive target
Sevilla are not willing to change their stance over defender Jules Kounde and accept Chelsea’s proposal for the Frenchman, according to Sky Italia.
There have been talks that the west Londoners will make one final attempt to land Kounde before the summer transfer window slams shut today.
The Spanish side are claimed to be demanding Jules’ full €80m release clause before agreeing to the player go.
