
Official: Chelsea bring former centre-forward back to Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have completed the landing of Romelu Lukaku from the Italian side Inter Milan after on a long-term contract, the club have announced.
The Belgium striker formerly represented the Premier League outfit between 2011 and 2014 but spent most of that period out on loan.
Announcing the club-record €115 million (£97.5 million) transfer, the Blues confirmed the 28-year-old has signed a deal through to June 2026.

Chelsea are allegedly set to complete their revamp in the final third with the sale of Ike Ugbo to Belgian outfit KRC Genk.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Fulham, Anderlecht, Monaco and Watford all understood to have been interested.
But according to the Sun, he’s closing in on a move to Genk for £4 million, having spent time in Jupiler Pro League with Cercle Brugge last season.
If Tammy Abraham departs for £34 million, that will take the club’s total sales to £102 million this summer, entirely funding their huge move for Romelu Lukaku.
Highly-rated Sevilla youngster believes he will sign for Chelsea in August
Sevilla’s Jules Kounde is optimistic about joining Chelsea this summer, according to a recent report from ABC Sevilla.
The French youngster has been strongly linked with the Blues, but a transfer has failed to materialize thus far.
However, manager Thomas Tuchel has had his eyes on Jules for a while and is now putting all his efforts into finalising the transfer.
The Premier League side have invested heavily in Romelu Lukaku, so the availability of transfer funds could be a key factor in the completion of the move.
Chelsea need to act fast to snap up Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco
Chelsea are facing fresh competition from league rivals, Liverpool, for the services of Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni, according to Caught Offside via Corriere Dello Sport.
The 21-year-old star was linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge earlier in the summer but the Anfield outfit have now joined the race for the ace.
Aurelien has been very impressive for Les Monegasques in recent times and is among the brightest youngsters in Europe at the moment. Tchouameni made 36 appearances for his team in the Ligue 1 last campaign, scoring two goals.
