Southampton snap up Chelsea attacking sensation Armando Broja
Southampton have purchased 19-year-old forward Armando Broja on loan from Chelsea for the 2020/21 term, the club have confirmed.
The Albanian, who has been at Stamford Bridge since he was nine years old, netted 11 goals in 34 matches while on loan at Dutch side Vitesse last term.
He signed a fresh five-year contract after returning to the Blues this summer and scored for the west London side in pre-season matches against Peterborough and Bournemouth.
Chelse academy graduate leaning towards Roma move
Tammy Abraham‘s time at Chelsea could soon be coming to an end after Jose Mourinho’s Roma have reached a full agreement with the Blues over the terms of the ace’s departure.
The Serie A side have offered to take Tammy on loan for a season, parting company with a €5m loan sum in the process, with the agreement including an option to buy following the end of the 2021/22 season.
Even with his limited playing time last term, the forward ended the campaign as the club’s joint-top scorer with 12 goals, the same amount as £45 million recruit Timo Werner.
Barcelona bracing themselves for exit of Chelsea midfield target Ilaix Moriba
Barcelona no longer believe they’ll be able to convince talented midfielder Ilaix Moriba to stay at the club and expect to sell the player in the coming weeks.
The 18-year-old Spaniard has entered the final 12 months of his deal and has snubbed the chance to pen an extension, in spite of Barcelona’s attempts to put pressure on the player by banishing him to the reserve roster.
Meantime, Chelsea, who are named as the favourites in the race, have submitted a ‘dizzying offer’ for the star and hope to lure him over to England before the summer comes to an end.
The report also says there is serious interest from Manchester City, Marseille and a handful of German sides, while Manchester United are known admirers of Moriba as well.
Chelsea encouraged to bring back former academy player this month
Glen Johnson has urged Chelsea to launch a move to sign Declan Rice from city rivals West Ham United this summer.
Speaking in the latest interview quoted by Metro, the Englishman said: “I think they can do with him [Rice] because of the legs.
“He’s got a lot of energy, he charges around and he’s super passionate so I think he would suit the club.”
