Chelsea heavily linked with sought-after La Liga defender
Chelsea are the latest side to pursue Sevilla ace Jules Kounde, with The Guardian claiming the west Londoners hold a “strong” interest in the player.
The report states that Chelsea have seen a host of proposals rebuffed by the La Liga side, but haven’t been deterred in their efforts and will continue to keep a close eye on the star.
His situation has been monitored by a couple of top clubs across the continent, including the Blues’ Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, though the centre-half is thought to favour the idea of switching to a club involved in the UEFA Champions League this term.
One obstacle standing in the interested clubs’ way could be his exit clause, which is set to increase from £68 million to £77 million at the end of the market.
Chelsea set their sights on swoop for Borussia Dortmund prized asset
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up the idea of launching a shock late move for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
The 18-year-old midfielder has taken the German top-flight by storm after he made the move from boyhood club Birmingham City last year, rejecting interest from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United in the process.
The Daily Star report that the teenage prodigy caught the eye of Blues chairman Roman Abramovich, who views Jude as a more than capable alternative to original first-choice transfer target West Ham‘s Declan Rice.
Jude became the youngest player to represent his country at a European Championship in the summer and is regarded as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe.
Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi will spend 2021/22 season at Besiktas
Michy Batshuayi has signed for Besiktas on a season-long loan after renewing his existing Chelsea contract until June 2023.
The Belgian star heads to the Turkish top-flight Super Lig for the 2020-21 season and could make his debut away against Gaziantep on Saturday evening.
Michy was signed from the Ligue 1 side Marseille in the summer transfer market of 2016 and has netted 25 goals in 77 matches for the Blues.
Struggling for minutes with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham in his way, loans with Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace have rendered his time at Chelsea a frustrating one in spite of collecting a Premier League and FA Cup winners medal.
