Chelsea are currently training at Cobham ahead of their pre-season friendly match against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
English midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek returned with the Blues training with the rest of the team for the pre-season tour, with defending UCL champions earlier this month.
The 25-year-old star has joined the Blues at the age of eight and has spent most of his time on loan at Premier League teams like Crystal Palace and Fulham.
Earlier this week it was reported by football.london that Ruben Loftus-Cheek could depart from Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2021/22 season with an English midfielder is keen on securing regular first-team football somewhere else.
Serie A giants Lazio new head-coach, Maurizio Sarri. is believed to be keen on luring him at Stadio Olimpico after working with him at Chelsea, however, Thomas Tuche has impressed with his work ethic during the Blues pre-season and could keep him at Stamford Bridge for the 2021/22 season.
The source said: “Tuchel has been very impressed by what he has seen so far from Loftus-Cheek. The club haven’t shown any interest in letting him leave on loan and he is not up for sale as things stand.
“He has returned to Cobham with a real hunger and determination to succeed and that is showing in his performances during pre-season training.
“That’s exactly the kind of attitude Tuchel wants to see from his squad.
“Tuchel feels he is the man who can get the best out of Loftus-Cheek. The manager has had his eye on him for quite some time and has always admired the way he plays.
“He also views him as something of an unpolished gem who has lots of potential and says there is plenty more to come from him despite having been written off by some.”
Chelsea another academy graduate Tammy Abraham has been rumoured with a departure from Stamford Bridge with West Ham United and Aston Villa are both interested in securing his services ahead of the 2021/22 season.
