Carlton Cole has urged Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham to depart from Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The 23-year-old forward has been strongly linked with a potential departure ahead of the new campaign with Premier League teams, Arsenal, West Ham United nd Arsenal are all interested to secure his services.

According to The Mirror, the West London giants currently value the England international forward at around £50million.

It is believed that Thomas Tuchel’s side may look to offer him as part of a player-plus-cash deal to secure services of Borussia Dortmund’s hotshot Erling Haaland.

However, West Ham and Aston Villa are two Premier League teams that are already in talks with the entourage of 23-year-old forward.

TalkSPORT pundit and ex-forward Chelsea star Cole believes that it makes sense for the England international forward to make a transfer to another Premier League team in order to secure regular first-team football and named West Ham as the perfect destination for both player and the club.

“I’d look at other options if I were him. Let me go and be the main man somewhere. A place like West Ham would be good for him so he can grow,” Cole told talkSPORT.

However, Chelsea are unlikely to allow Tammy Abraham to depart from the club unless they sign a proven striker.

If the West London club pulls out the transfer of Haaland, Abraham should be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge ahead of the next season; however, for now, he’s needed in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the next season, especially after the departure of Olivier Giroud who has made a switch to Serie A giants AC Milan earlier last week.

Abraham has found back of the net 30 times in 82 Chelsea games. He also scored a combined 52 goals in 88 appearances during his two separate loan spells at Aston Villa and Bristol.

It would be great to see Abraham shine in another Premier League team as he hasn’t been given enough time to establish himself as a no.1 option at Chelsea.
