The Blues wonderkid has been tipped to be the best by Manchester United legend Roy Keane and can follow the footsteps of the Red Devils icon.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard asserts to see colors of Manchester United legend Paul Scholes at Billy Gilmour and agrees with Roy Keane’s “world” evaluation of this exciting 18-year-old.

The highly-rated Scotland global is enjoying a breakthrough effort in 2019-20.

A senior bow has been created for the Blues in August, with a further six looks created since then, using a starting role gained under Lampard before soccer shutdown amid the coronavirus catastrophe.

His apparent possible saw United great Keane suggests which Gilmour is effective at reaching the very top of this match.

Lampard shares this view, telling Sky Sports: “I needed to place my cup of tea down to listen to Roy say something pleasant!

“Keane was a wonderful midfield player and he likely will not give credit unless it is because, and it was due. He is correct, I learned the announcements he made about Billy and I believe he is spot on. Billy should be delighted with this and when he can go and adhere to the thoughts that somebody like Roy Keane says in regards to midfield play he will not go far wrong.”

While getting praise from Keane, Gilmour has also attracted comparison to some other Old Trafford icon.

Lampard is loath to set the adolescent in precisely the exact same bracket as 11-time Premier League winner Scholes, however, he admits he’s cut from similar cloth into the ex-England global.

The Blues director, who spent 13 years at Stamford Bridge in his playing days, included: “Paul Scholes is clearly among the best midfield players I have played in the Premier League.

“He’d always select the ideal pass, he’d unbelievable selection. If you did attempt to leap from midfield and get to him and get near him he would only play with it around the corner since he knew you were coming.

“I am not comparing him to Scholesy, no method in any way, but in relation to these principles that you said, then Billy surely has them and that is a fantastic platform to construct hopefully an excellent career.”
