Eden Hazard has said is keen to know what manager he will be playing for next season and what players will be arriving at Chelsea. There is a degree of uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, with a lack of transfer activity and the ongoing managerial situation – with the club actively searching for a replacement for Antonio Conte, who remains at the club.
“Yeah I want to know. I want to know, but like I say I am focused on the World Cup.
“If we have something new – manager or players – it is always good to know it because I want players that can help bring success back to Chelsea next season. But to be fair the transfer market is not here in full flow yet. We will see after.
“I let the board manage Chelsea the best way that they can.”
One deal that Chelsea could complete this summer is Roma defender Alessandro Florenzi. Talks over an extension with the Italian club have broken down, which has alerted the Blues. Juventus and Inter Milan are also said to be keen on Florenzi, who has played over 200 times for the Serie A side. The signing of Florenzi could mean the end of another player’s Chelsea career. He can play in midfield as well as full-back.
Any signing of Florenzi could lead to Davide Zappacosta’s departure from the club. With Antonio Conte’s departure seemingly inevitable, the right wing-back’s time at Chelsea might be limited anyway. After signing from Torino last summer, he could be set for a quick return back to Italy, with Inter Milan interested. The Serie A club are reportedly keen on bringing Zappacosta in as a replacement for Joao Cancelo, whose loan spell ended. He could join Inter on an initial loan move with an option to buy.
