Willian Difficulties

Willian has spoken about his season with Chelsea this season, branding it ‘difficult’ being left out of the side on a regular basis. Antonio Conte often opted to bring Willian off the bench, rather than start him.

“I was happy with my performance during the season, I played very well I always try to do my best and work hard.

“Sometimes to stay on the bench is difficult but I respect the decision of the manager.

“I think it was that I don’t have nothing more to say about my club because now I want to have focus here on the national team and the World Cup.”

Drinkwater Exit

Chelsea are set to cut their losses on Danny Drinkwater this summer, as they seek to replace him with Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri. The Englishman joined the Blues in the summer from Leicester City, but failed to hold down a regular place in the starting line-up. The Blues are set to allow Drinkwater to leave this summer, with West Ham reportedly keen. Seri could be his replacement, and any money gained from the sale from Drinkwater could finance a move for the Ivorian. Arsenal are also said to be keen on Seri.

Rondon Eyed

Chelsea have been linked with a move for West Brom striker Salomon Rondon this summer. The Venezuelan has a £16 million relegation release clause in his contract, and following the Baggies’ relegation to the Championship, Rondon could leave on a cut-price deal. Chelsea have been linked with a number of strikers so far this summer, with the likes of Mauro Icardi and Robert Lewandowski rumoured to be making a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are keen on Rondon, but are rivalled by Tottenham and West Ham who are also interested. Atletico Madrid were also said to be keeping an eye on the striker.
